Okay, I couldn't hear the audio because I had to either listen through headphones connected to the audio interface, or else connect the audio interface to an outside speaker.
 
So, thanks for your help, because I would have not known the problem lay in the driver setting. And thanks, too for the advice on  setting the I/O Buffer Size (KB) from the default of 64 up to 256. That sounds really helpful.

You can also setup the Tascam interface to be the windows default sound device and hook up your speakers to it.
