Do not think I can handle all this jumping thru hoops bs. Yes, I klnow, what hoops? well, cvannot get my router correct and a bunch of other crap. 
I wanted to stick with win8.1x64 but comments on this and other forums convinced me to upgrade.
You know, everyone says well with group policy and win pro you can tame it.
 
That is probably true except I have been out of the tech scene for 10 years or so and do not remember much....I'm an old guy-hah!
 
I give it one more day but I am not real optimistic. Haven't activated or bought a key yet. That may be part of it. But I really do not waNT TO WASTE $199.......oK, THAT'S MY WIN 10 pRO RANT.

Appreciate the links. But I* have now been struggling with my Kontakt 5 dvds. No option to run or play in windows 10 Pro? Seriously? My options are open, set storage something (nothing to do with a dvd) and take no action?
 
So I cannoit install Kontakt. I have images iso's and they won't work using windows or alcohol 120%. I have the physical discs. They just load, show 5.xx GB's in properties. But NO option to play or run? Oh, open autoplay? well not all dvds have an autoplay script.
 
Also I CANNOT use the service app or access app because the downloads are giganti

I would probably recommend contacting Native Instruments support regarding the Kontakt installers for Win 10.  They have surely had to deal with this issue before. 

Thanks-I think I may have caused it, even though it's BS that it happens. I installed Kontakt 5 thru native access app. I think if I used the kontakt 5 disc it would have prompted me to please insert Disk a, etc, etc. But still, it's ridiculous.

So I played my guitar and downloaded all the Kontakt libraries which was many. Took a long time but playing guitar while I did it made it easy.
 
Still not crazy about Win 10 Pro. But I will get it, I am now determinbed.

Win10 is just a transition...
It's absolutely fine once you have it "reined-in".
 
If you want the possibility to run a Thunderbolt audio interface (for super lower round-trip latency), you have to run Win10.
 
Have installed many instances of Kontakt and Kontakt libraries in Win10.
 
You just need to get thru the adjustment period.  

Right now I have to put my trusty Echo Layla 3G o0n a shelf and use my "never used" Octa-capture. 
I really liked the Echo, it was fine for me but just couldn't get a motherboard that I was happy with that had an old PCI slot.
The Asus Prime Z370 A MB has a place for thunderbolt addition. I'll just have to see how I get along with the Octa-capture

If the Octa-Capture doesn't offer low enough round-trip latency for you, the Presonus Quantum or Quantum-2 (smaller version) are both incredible performers.
1ms total round-trip latency at a 32-sample ASIO buffer size/96k.
 
You'd need to add the Thunderbolt EX3 card... and get a Thunderbolt-3 to Thunderbolt-2 adapter.
Presonus recommend the StarTech adapter... but the less expensive Apple adapter works great.
