Sorry I've been calling it CWFB and I'm not sure where I got that from. If everyone else is calling it CbB, I'll go with that name instead.

Anyway, I left CbB open with BA closed while I was away from the computer for an hour or more. When I returned it can come out of demo mode and said valid till some date in 2037 or whatever. But when I closed it and relaunched it, it was back in demo mode again.

What about situation like this? It looks like sonar is 100% downloaded by assistant but there is no possibility to install it. I switched firewalls and antivirus off. Downloaded files are in download folder. Did anyone of You have the same problem?

The same symptoms occurred when I tried to install Cakewalk by Bandlab, it turned out to be related to the antivirus/firewall's auto-containment feature. Once this was deactivated, the install completed.

Bandlab assistant and CbB installed without issue on one computer.  I tried to just install the executables on my main computer.  Logged into Bandlab assistant without issue, but by using the Cakewalk.exe, I ran into DEMO mode.  The dialog box just said I needed to log in to Bandlab, but doing that didn't change anything.  I needed to uninstall, and redownload and reinstall through Bandlab Assistant.  All after Bandlab needed an update.  At least out of demo mode now.  Setting up a few things, and it appears Cakewalk will be back in 'play!' on my systems.

Still not sure if that coffee mug for $49 will fulfill my life yet.

Hello ... Cakewalk only works in demo mode ... I have already done all possible procedures ... It is not because of anti virus nor because of firewall ... They are properly disabled ... My system is Windows 7 64-bit ... I'm logged in to the BandLab Assistant ...
Thanks any help ...

Hi you must INSTALL through BandLab assistant. Trying to run the installer manually will not result in a successful installation.

Hello ... I have done just that.
I am logged in to the BandLab Assistant, including opening Cakewalk through it. I do not know how to attach an image here, otherwise I would show what happens when I open the software.

Is it some incompatibility with Windows 7?
Does it lack any complement?

I've just downloaded and installed the BandLab Assistant update (v3.0.6) but this didn't solve anything. CbB remains in demo mode.

Hey guys we're pretty sure we know whats going on and it will get fixed next week. It appears to be an incompatibility with powershell and some systems.
To understand whats going on better can you share what is the error code listed next to the serial number in the about box? It should be two numbers like this (xx,xx)
