I tried uninstalling, rebooting the machine, and reinstalling. Still in Demo Mode. Until they resolve this, I'll continue to use Sonar Platinum.

For whatever its worth, I had demo mode hit me today.  found this thread, followed the uninstall/install process and things are working fine again.

I am/was a SPLAT 4 life user.  Installed Cakewalk by BandLab Friday 4/13.  Used it quite a bit on Saturday with no issues.

However, I did run CCleaner late yesterday (maybe it removed some sort of Cookie or Auth file?).  We also had a power outage this AM so maybe a new IP tossed a wrench into the works?  Probably more likely the first one.

Yeah, I’ve tried everything and no luck. Got it up and running on my backup computer, but can’t get Bandlab to even download Cakewalk on my main computer. Just shuts off a few seconds after the process starts. Tried moving things over from my backup computer, and all I get is the dreaded demo mode. Have tried all solutions in this thread, to no avail. Opened up a support ticket, which also has not helped.

Are there any news from the developers to fix the problem?
On one of the computers - home everything was installed without problems. On the other - SPLAT and Command Center works, has a connection to the account, but the BandLab application gives a password and login error, although they did not change.

Installed every which way but mainly logged in with assistant running and through the App tab. The end result is Demo, Demo, Demo. Annoyed and frustrated. Wasted an afternoon that I'll never get back as long as I live. Back to Ableton. Like Apple it just works.

Aaaand it has gone to "Please login to Bandlab Assistant to update activation status." Of course, doing as it asks doesn't help.

If it helps anyone debug, this came up after CbB crashed (dodgy plugin) having installed CbB with the Bandlab Assistant 3.0.6 a couple of weeks ago. CbB is build 13 [2018.04] x64.

I'll have to reinstall AGAIN (4th time!) to finish this project, but I think I'll have to go back to Mixbus. My internet connection isn't good enough to be downloading ~1GB every few uses.

Just ran into this issue this morning. Demo mode message with no viable option to fix. From what I'm reading in this thread is that the only way to fix this is to uninstall and reinstall the software? Really? This whole thing is scaring the hell out of me. I have years of projects that rely on a working version of Sonar (Cakewalk). I don't want to get invested in this version only to have it go titsup or worse, they decide to start charging a subscription. Maybe I'll just stick with my version of X3 until the dust settles... if it does.

I've now updated BA to 3.0.8 and CbB to 21.04.1 build 28. It created new duplicate shortcuts on the desktop. CbB is still in demo mode (of course).

CbB crashed again, another incompatible VST (I think?), and we're back to demo mode for the 5th time. Installed the Assistant v3.0.8, reinstalled CbB, it now says "Free" instead of being a membership product.

"At last! I'm free of re-installation hell!" I thought. Silly me, next time I started it I was straight back to demo mode.
