I may not have the tool I'm looking for because of my version of the program? I have Melodyne essential...

Thanks chuckebaby!

If you can spring for it, the upgrades are well worth the money! I went from Essential to Editor first and then to Studio on another sale. Editor will give you all regular tools, studio mainly adds multitrack support.

Pitch drift – Intensity/direction of pitch drift ....
You can see that my version does not have it. Regrettably.
I think I'll move on to the next step.
I miss the V-Vocal.
Thank you very much for your help!! Regards to all!

If you have an older version of SONAR that included V-Vocal, it will work in the current version of SONAR. To install V-Vocal run the advanced install option of the old version of SONAR and select Minimal Installation from the drop down above the component pick list.

The basic/advanced install switch is a couple of screens into the install process.

I just toured the manual and found no reference how to individually "flatten" the variations of a wave. You can control the pitch fluctuation to some extent, but that affects the track or the clip, not the note in question. In previous versions there was a specific tool for that, I remember seeing it.
Watching video tutorials takes much longer than reading a manual. Will I have to double my patience?
With the V-vowel it was very simple, I'm surprised that such a tool is so "hidden".
Thank you very much anyway.

If by "flatten the wave" you mean reducing vibrato on a specific blob, then yes, the Editor version has that.  It works pretty well!
