Why are people saying X32 has problem being use as as control surface with Sonar?

I followed this instruction
http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X2&Lang=EN&Req=ExternalDevices.03.html
and my x32 Compact (firmware 1.15) works as advertised as control surface for my Sonar X3 (64bit) just like I expected.
Transport controls, Mutes, Volume, bank shift, record ready... it all works - quite nice.

I suspect that a lot of people don't read instructions and end up creating problems for themselves. Just have to read a lot of the posts in this forum top work that out.good on you for following instructions and obtaining the desired outcome.

The funny thing about it is, those kind of people are also the BIGGEST whiners...

That's totally cool. I"ve really been looking at that board to update my old analog.  Do you use the mic pres or just as a control surface?  Some details if time permits would be great.

Welcome to the forum Charly.
There is a guy on these forums (Promidi) who has made some updates I believe for the X32.
I cant recall specifics because I don't use an X32 I use a Mackie Control instead. But I believe some of his updates will help make the interaction between Sonar and the X32 a little better than it already is.
I've heard nothing but good things about the X32. Congrats on your purchase.
Have fun.

Are you using the convertors in the Behringer?  If so, what kind of latency can you get down to?

I have an X-touch controller and it is remarkably well built.  Behringer have come a long way since the last time I bought one of their products!

i could be wrong, but when chuck mentions the forum member who has done some work getting control surfaces etc to get along with sonar, he might thinking of azslow3 and not promidi, again i may be mistaken but i have read a lot of threads and posts from and about the stuff azslow3 has made

you can find here, some may or may not be of assistance to you (sorry if i am off track)

There's nothing to improve on the X32 control surface functions in Sonar. They all work exactly as they should straight out of the box. It's asio drivers interaction with the playlist is another story. If you do use the playlist and glitching ccurs as the next song is loading, switch over to wasapi mode. It works flawlessly (for playlist playback only).

How load are the motor faders?
I have sold a Behringer XTouch, because the faders are as loud as a dot matrix printer. Hearing and mixing music at the same time is not possible!!
I guess Behringer uses the same motor faders with the X32?
