Since a view days (Creators Update) my Roland QuadCapture stutters very extrem.
Even simple playback with youtube or files over media player stutters quite terrible.
Windows 10x64, i7-4790K, 4x4GHz, 16GB RAM
 
What I have tried to solve the problem:
- load a windows-system-backup from January 2017 --> solved.
- As I installed the Windows Creators update the QuadCapture failed again immediately.
- I changed to a second QuadCapture --> the same probleme
- I changed USB-Ports, cable and USB-drivers without success.
- I installed just a Focusrite 2i2 (2nd) --> is working.
 
So I think the Quad-Capture is not working with the Creators Update.
 
 

Turn off Game mode.
 

I've noticed some stuttering from my quad capture. Tried changing buffers,
other trouble shooting, still stutters.
Then I unplugged the unit and restarted (suggestion from the manual).
Behold it's working with my Win 10 setup again.
A few days later it did it again.
Unplugging and resetting the unit works here.

Whenever my I have issues with my quad not working, I rename the Aud.ini file and it's fixed it. Mines working with ASIO on the latest release.
 
WASAPI is mental though, sounds 4bit

No issues here, but I did turn off game mode.

Very curious:
I tested gamemode = off, without results.
The Focusrite 2i2 plays very well - but the OctaCapture plays only stuttering fragments and after 20 seconds SONAR stops and hangs up for a minute. (I have 2 OctaCaptures for testing)
 
Now I tested a very short USB cable and the OctaCapture plays suddenly good again. Curious is, that all of my twendy 1,5 meter cables are not good enough for the OctaCapture - but good enough for a Focusrite.
So I think this is up to the USB-Hardware (ASMedia) in my computer in context with the Creators update. Then before the Creators update, 1,5 meter or 2,5 meter USB-cables did the job.
The same cables work fine with my laptop, Creators Update and QuadCapture. So it must be up to the USB-hardware of my computer.
But now its working with a very short cable.
