Hello,

I have a "no sound" issue with a MIDI media file loaded from the media browser media groove clips.

Audio tracks (vs. instrument trax) sound fine.

Couldn't find articles in the forum.

Is there something I have to goose under preferences --> MIDI?

Levels are responding but no sound

Here's a snapshot.

Add a synth plug-in to the project. If there are multiple synths in the project use the "Synth Preview Output" to select one, see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Browser.03.html

BTW, if you are using the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth consider disabling it in MIDI preferences and use the TTS-1 plug-in instead.

As I have hinted at it in the computer forum, I believe...

Not sure if it is still posted...some of my postings seem to disappear often.....So, Just wanting to know...what you might know?...and I have found to be one possible reason for...Mayhem....lol

Thanks, and Cheers.

Being a hardware synth there is unavoidable latency and it presents recording challenges to new users. When any MIDI outputs are defined in Preferences, SONAR does not automatically open and map MIDI files to TTS-1, a pretty handy feature.
