Iam having Sonar Plat produce a buzzing sound, once in awhile, No other sound except the buzz, timeline goes out past the end and I can't stop it, close it, etc etc.
Bummer too because things seem fine otherwise with this update. This seems to happen most often when i mess with the tempo or toggle FX off and on with e hotkey. it locks, buzzes and becomes unresponsive.  I have to kill it via Task Manager. I am using Kontakt 5.6.8. and Sonar  23.5.0.32. I can immediately reopen what ever file this occurs in, 2 so far, but i can't make it do it every time.

Anyone else have this ever?

Never had this issue.  However, can you provide more information about your system? You know, the usual:  Have you tried different Audio buffer sizes.  Are you using the latest drivers for your Audio Interface.  ASIO or WASPI . Not using ASIO4ALL. etc

That's a fairly old version of Kontakt. I believe you can update to newest for free.

I've had that issue.  For me it is a sound card driver hiccup, caused by surfing the internet while a project is open and the sound engine icon engaged.  The browser wants to take over the sound card driver, and a war ensues.

I turn the engine off whenever I have Sonar open but want to do something in another program.

Need more info...

- As already mentioned, start with listing your system specs.

- When did this problem start?  Any change to your system - hardware or software - just before this started happening?

Assuming your system is reasonably robust and the rest of your software is up to date, best guess at this point would be Kontakt 3 is the culprit.  Can you duplicate the problem without Kontakt?

+1

Kind of sounds like a soundcard or a conflict holding your drivers hostage.

My bad its Kontakt 5.6.8.  I've been using asio4all, thats no bueno??

It happens once in every 40 open/ closing of a project so... and I task it close, reopen, all is well.

what is a cheap or older midi device that plays nice with Sonar?

Win 10 Lenovo i5 16gb ddr3, all midi based with an m audio keystation pro88
Asio4All v2.13  1.5msec latency or 64 samples, buffers 2, 24bit audio driver
64bit Dbl Precision Unchecked

I may have a chrome window open But not active web surfing during these Buzz outs. I am now trying to get youtube running thru my monitors hdmi audio whilst playing back something in Sonar to Cause it... So far 3 youtubes running, 1 sonar and no buzz.

I have experienced similar results using ASIO4ALL.
Just make sure your not using 2 different soundcards (Onboard Realtek and ASIO4ALL together).
Sometimes it is triggered by merely using you tube audio. So I would try disabling onboard audio if you want to continue using ASIO4ALL. It might work sometimes, it might not. ASIO4ALL is unpredictable in my opinion.

I deleted X3 and lost Square, So i checked the command center, says its there, green and installed SO Did a VST rescan, trying to find rgc Square. however it found 102  new vst with both rescan boxes checked,  square was not there but PENTAGON l was now there, despite having uninstalled X3 yesterday. Penatgon wouldn't load or play but PSYN was there, found a sound, ran the project and got the buzz/ unresponsive error...  I did 3 youtues thru the monitors hdmi audio AND ran some sonar projects, no problemo, ran a good / stable project added a cake synth and BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ

?:(?
