Thinking of changing out my old Alesis io-26 with something newer and am split between the Stienberg UR824 and Presonus Studio 192.

Looking for input on either from people who might be using them. I already have a Presonus ADAT 8 channel so it might seem obvious but there is a slight price difference.

Thanks.

One of my biggest problems is that i run my ADAT into my io-26. When i set my levels on the presonus to a good level, it overdrives the input to my io-26. If i set the levels to where they dont clip my 26 the mix is way too low and i see no way to change that via software in either.

I'd steer you toward the MOTU Ultralite AVB.
  • Much lower round-trip latency
  • Solid drivers
  • Super flexible routing
Cost is ~$650
For the given features/cost, it's hard to beat the Ultralite AVB.
Noise-floor is ~-112dB... which is lower than most audio interfaces at this price point.

+1 to Jim's recommendation. I've been shopping for a new interface, read 1,000 reviews and have landed on Motu
http://motu.com/products/motuaudio/ultralite-mk3

It will become my interface and my live mixer.
My only other option would be RME but they don't have the exact feature list I need.
