A little bit of trivia. The chugging electric guitar was produced using a distortion pedal built by myself from a schematic from Cakewalk's very own Craig Anderton. The schematic came from his book Electronic Projects for Musicians, the project in question being the tube fuzz.
I have to say, it gives as good a tube sound as the tube pedal I built with a real tube (and better than the commercially available ones). Anyone else made this pedal? I love those old pedal projects - just like the original Colorsound pedals.

I would put it up on Soundcloud, but they compress the track down and you lose some of the quality.
