From the era slightly before rockers stopped wearing suits and ties on stage (at least unironically)...

Pretty slick, yo.

I mean... aside from the MC which I think is that weird old Brit dood who got busted for being a creep with kids or some shniz.

Crikey. The Stones look (and likely are) completely pinned in that.

A lot of great talent on the stage that night. Thing that knocks me out is the drums on the MB cover of "Bo Diddley". Thanks for that.

A nice trip in the way-back machine.

Ya, quite enjoyable and interesting.

Kind of fits into the other thread about sound quality too. That is obviously heavily restored and sounds great. I can only assume the original audio isn't quite as clear and enjoyable.

Yeah shame about Savile showing his face. The dirty beggar.

Interesting story about him. A good friend of mine from back home and his wife were good friends with Savile due to her being a reporter for the local rag where he lives. He never showed them any signs of being a perv for the few years they knew him, in fact he was apparently as nice as pie.

Around the time he died, she was commissioned to write his official biography. And so followed a year or so of research & interviews to piece together his life. The book was very complimentary to him, his life and charity work (which admittedly was epic). Lots of gushing praise.

I think it was only a week or two after the book was published that the scandal broke. What a bummer. Doubt it sold a single copy after that.
