I loaded up my Addictive drum and made simple beat last night.
and I created AUX track for parallel processing.
I inserted izotope alloy2 on Aux track, and loaded some preset. I could hear phasing issue.
OK, It can happen during playback!
I stopped the play and restarted play, again, and again, but there is always phase issue.

I had encountered this before, just tried to reproduce but could not (instead I encountered some loud buzzing noises, see here http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3617320).

Does it also happen with plugins from other vendors?

Does it go away if you freeze AD2 tracks? I'm almost certain it will go away as I do encounter strange phenomena when combining certain VSTs (Kontakt Abbey Road drums, AD2) with certain plugs in the same project, like e.g.  FF-MB (sometimes), WAVES Abbey Road Plates (always), WAVES IR (always), LP MB or LP MB (always - see bug report above) ...

What sample rate are you using? Interestingly, it seems to be a lot more severe at 96 kHz than at 44.1 or 48 kHz...

Ok - above was post was for 44.1 kHz. I could not get the phase issues with any compressor in a parallel bus.

Interestingly, at 96 kHz all is different - I do indeed get phasing with ALL compressors I tried (5 different vendors), all that worked @ 44.1 kHz do no longer work @ 96 kHz - and as expected all the phase issue disappear as soon as I freeze AD2 !!!

I will write a proper problem report now.

Thanks for the reply.

This is what I've got so far.

1. With Alloy2

-Addictive drums 2 + Alloy2 with multiband option -> Problematic.

-Freezed Addictive drums 2 + Alloy2 with multiband option -> Problematic.

-Addictive drums 2 + Alloy2 without multiband option -> Problematic

-Freezed Addictive drums 2 + Alloy2 without multiband option -> No problem.

So, Looks like multiband option cause the problem, and AD2 should be Freezed.

2. Without Alloy 2

-Addictive drums 2 + Waves Aphex exciter -> Problematic.

-Freezed Addcitvie drums 2 + Waves Aphex exciter -> No problem.

This time, Something's wrong with AD2.

I don't know what is wrong with this situation exactly.

FYI, I use things on 48khz sampling rate setting.

This is part of what i got from cakewalk tech support team.

Hello Sohn,
Thanks for getting in touch with Cakewalk support.
Typically the easiest way of reducing latency is by doing the following:
Go to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Driver Settings (Options > Audio > General in legacy products)
Locate the "Buffer Size" slider and adjust it towards the left to Fast
If the Buffer Size slider is grayed out an you cannot adjust it, it is because you are using ASIO drivers. If this is the case you will need to adjust your buffer size/latency setting by going to your sound card's proprietary control panel. This can typically be done from this same menu by clicking the ASIO Panel button or by opening your device's control panel from Windows.
Ultimately, the smaller buffer size the less amount of latency you will here. If you can get your buffer size down to 10 msec or less, you probably won't notice a delay. If you start to experience distortion or audio dropouts, you may have to increase your buffer size setting for stability.

-------------------------------------

Disappointing...

looks like they missed the point of your report there!

is it only with ad2, or also with other VSTs?
