I have a AD2 kick drum pattern that hits on the "1" and the "and of 2", with rests on beats 3 and 4, for many measures in a row. In the past, I would just copy and paste but this time I decided to try turning it into a groove clip and dragging it out. Unfortunately, any dragged out measures begin on beat 3 of the measure that hit on the "and of 2", not giving me the rests on 3 and 4. I figure there must be a trick or something I'm missing when it comes to creating and dragging a MIDI loop that has a rest(s) at the end of the measure. Any help would be much appreciated!

drag the clip to fill out the full measure,
select it,
CTRL+L to create a groove clip
drag to repeat clip

I must have not had the clip fill the full measure, including the final 2 silent beats. I'll try it when I get back to the DAW. Appreciate it, scook!
