RESQ
Hi!

I´ve build an orchestral template and would like my orchestral projects to open every time with a buffer setting of 256 samples to prevent artifacts but it stays on 128 every time I open a project.
Is there anyway to tell SONAR I want to open the project with a buffer of 256?

Thanks!!

I asked for similar yeeeeaaaars ago.

I would like to see the asio buffers and or latency slider when using other access methods saved with each project.

ASIO buffer cannot be set by the DAW, it is set by the software supplied by the hardware manufacturer. SONAR just reports the setting.

You can do anything you want to in code if you set your mind to it.

Believe that if it makes you feel better.

you can in studio one, you can have your audio interface driver set to say 128, open studio one, it will report 128, go to options in studio one and change it to 512 or whatever you like, apply, go back to your audio interface driver app and 512 or whatever you set in studio one will be reflected there also

Isn't that the same as Sonar? It depends if you are using Asio or not. If you are you are, changing the hardware settings via the hardware driver. Asio is just a communication protocol. It's the hardware driver that makes the changes to the hardware.

no, not in my experience, it is greyed out in sonar and you must st it via your driver/app for your audio interface. and anytime i change it via the audio interface driver/app while sonar is running the audio engine spits the dummy and stops, where as studio one will keep on truckin whichever way you do it, via studio ones options or via interface driver/app

just tried it again to be sure, and to be sure it is

and yes asio

To be sure to be sure  What sound card do you have? I wonder if S1 can do that with all cards. From what I can make out it would need something other than asio to communicate with the audio interface driver in order to change its buffer - I don't think there would be any standard protocol to allow it to do that.
