Yeah Cactus, super nice! Little more cuttered than mine, no doubt, but really nice still XD
How much would you reckon the whole set cost altogether (tabletops and shelves)? I've considered getting some shelves for my setup as well (for my 'pleasure listening' setup), I'm going in part for a really nice appearance.

(Read my post.:)  Well under $100 for the wood parts. The $30 IKEA desk is the corner section and the left hand table and those 3 sets of legs.  But even if I had to have built it it would have only been another $60. Pine is cheap around here.
The right hand table is the one I added. Those legs are just 2x4 ripped in half and sanded.

PS.. I took the picture after spending a half hour tiding up.. It's a work space and I'm not very tidy when I'm working.
I am going to be building a whole new set up at the other end of the attic and this corner will become the wifes sewing stuff.
I don't like being in a corner. I will be treating the room etc with the new location.

I think he means that a corner desk for mixing goes against convention on how to set up a desk for mixing. Corners have weird reflections etc. I'm sure it wasn't a dig towards your personal mixes.

Looks great Jonesey!

I'm actually designing a desk for myself and I can't decide if I want the computer keyboard below the desk and the midi keyboard on the desk or vise-versa. How's the comfort with that setup? What about knee clearance? I'm not really a piano player so I can't decide if it would bother me higher up.

Knee clearance is VERY tight with the lower keyboard.

I'm no player either but at least everything is in one place

Yikes, Bristol, that one sure was nice! I can't tell fromt he picture, but it looks like your monitors are quite high. Quite expensive setup, but the cost speaks for itself in quality, it seems. Is it modular?

My desk actually has a slide out section like that where my (computer) keyboard is, in my design there'll be a partition at the front of the work surface where maybe a keyboard or controller can go. I'm weighing the P's and C's of having the keyboard up top with a MIDI controller on the slide out, or vice versa.

I see a lot of empty Gin bottles in the dustbin!

Ya the corner is a terrible place but of course I have learned to mix there without issue, at least no ones said anything negative in the last 4 years. The monitors are actually closer to my ears by 1/3 the normal distance.
My original desk in my "real" studio had the monitors on a bridge so they were also as close as possible. Getting monitors close to your ears eliminates a lot of room interference.  I don't have any treatment in this corner,,, the random clutter is it!
As far as placement of keyboards ( both types) I find under slung trays are to low to both type or play. They also get in the way when I play my guitars.
I like my computer keyboard right in front of the monitors. I've always had my midi keyboard off to one side  normally at a 90 degree angle to the main desk. But I like the way it is now at the 45 degree angle so my new build will feature this somehow.
