So I got my daughter the Izotope Spire Studio.

I have Cakewalk Platinum, Cubase Pro 9.5, Studio One Pro 3.5, an RME interface .....all too complicated for my 14 yr old daughter - singer songwriter.
We (she) are just getting started with Spire, and it's really great. Simple interface to IOS and she is recording her songs and not fussing (like me) about the details which she does not care about nor know about.

I have dual LED monitors, optimized PC with multiple HD's and she has a Spire studio, an iPhone and a ukulele, and her middle school peers are all singing her songs, Snap-chatting, sharing and supporting her.

It seems to me that Meng and Bandlab have an equally accessible environment with their line of hardware interfaces and online recording environment that my daughter will naturally gravitate towards and embrace.  She wants a simple tool that interfaces with her online media and can show-case her talents and aspirations.

It's truly amazing how "smart' technology enables creativity and is transparent to the process of making music.

After I took a look at that again, I was very impressed by it, since it appears to have O8/N2 processing components "built in." Bubble got burst when I remembered the "iOS" part (why I didn't look to hard the first go-round), so I wrote iZotope and they said Android versions are not on even the horizon yet :(

Thats pretty cool about your daughter. I looked at that since I go to their site often because I own 75% of their stuff. recently went up to Ozone 8. nice upgrade I think. For me anyway. But I have one of those Sony PCM10's. I take that to parks and stuff with me. Not inspire but very call and 24/96, etc, etc.

Let me ask: Did your happen to see Grace V with her yuke on AGT?
She kinds of started a storm of yuke sales. They should give her a cut.........

Just watched a demo. Nothing there for me, my Sony PCM10 does much more, for me mind you. BUT, if it was android compatible that would make a world of different because the little app has things that I do not. I probably would jump on it.
Do they need permission from google? or whomever? Wonder if thats an issue.

Android is by far the more popular smartphone platform (although not for 14-year-old girls). It seems one of the important missions of Apple is to irritate everybody who doesn't have an iPhone or iPad or iMac or i-something. Their stuff is so expensive they probably don't care about selling to a larger market.

EXACTLY...........I dumped apple more than a decade or 2 ago. Got real tired of the $$$$ and had to be this or that. Very few choices. Big Brother for sure

Technically, Spire Studio is hardware.
