Believe me, I didn't pay near that - I found one used online.  Felt fortunate to find that - the market for inexpensive desks that have a slide out tray for an 88 key workstation is....minuscule.
 
Actually, most things you see in the pic were purchased used.  
 
And as for those lava lamps....

Try Spencer Gifts at your local mall. They have a large selection at the store here at the Everett Mall, and the store manager is a bona fide lava lamp expert/consultant. The Lava Lamp Store has a good online selection, and prices appear to be very good - but with shipping they cost the same as buying locally.
