  • Weird problem with BassStation VST and midi thru?

Just experimenting with a track using Notation BassStation VST
MIDI track is set to 'none' for channel, 'Omni' for input and 'BassStation' for output.
All works fine, the midi track plays the BassStation as expected.
Problem is, if I highlight / select any other midi track, then the midi output from the BassStation is also played on the midi instrument for the selected channel.
If I go through and set all my other midi tracks the channel 2 (or any channel) and then set the BassStation track to channel 1 (i.e. different to all the others) then I can stop this happening - but I don't have to do this on any other VSTs....
Anyone come across this? Seems to be behaving like some kind of weird 'midi thru' option - but I've looked on thru BassStation interface and I can't see anything obvious to stop this....

In X3 "Enable MIDI Output" is enabled by default when inserting synth that report the ability to pass or generate MIDI data. This may be disabled when inserting synths in the "Insert Soft Synths Options" dialog. The option may be disabled after insert by right-clicking on the synth in the synth rack and toggling the option on the context menu.

The issue is further complicated if "Always Echo Current MIDI Track" is enabled in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording. When input echo is enabled on a MIDI or instrument track and the track input is set to NONE, the input for the track is effectively set to ONMI. The solution is either set the input to a value other than NONE that does not pick up the data sent by the synths or disable "Always Echo Current MIDI Track."

Thanks for the thoughts - I'm not near my music PC right now, but either (or both) of those options look like a good solution.
Much appreciated!
