Hello, I have the music creator 6, and I am having a problem recording some audio.

This is what I have in the preferences:

and then when I try to select the input for the track, I don't have the option to select the input:

This used to work, I've recorded with the program before, don't really know why now it doesn't. It works fine with audacity, and in the windows recording devices I can hear the input as well...

help!!

You need 25 posts before you can have links in the post ......

have you tried to play any of the demo files to see if you can hear music?

What sound card, computer OS, etc?

I can play hear without a problem.

Didn't know about the link restrictions, basically in the first image I had my preferences, where it said:
Driver Mode: MME (32-Bit)
Playback Device: Speakers (Realtek High Definition)
Recording Device: Microphone (Realtek High Definition)

And in the second was in the bottom left corner, where you select the in and out of a track, where it didn't show the realtek input.

The soundcard is an inboard realtek and I have windows 7.

Hey drk4, this clearly means that you have to upgrade your realtek device driver. I Think this problem will be resolved after that. Go to device manager and then select Realtek > properties and then update driver.

Or try ASIO4ALL, that has helped many. MME32 is the weakest driver you can find.

The WDM/KS mode works much better for me than the MME mode. You might give it a try. Check your device settings after making a driver change and always close and reopen MC after changing this setting.
