Now the question is, how do I delete a post on this forum? I figured out the answer to the first question I had and erased that from the content of this message.

You cannot. You could add "[Solved]" to the title of the message or set the thread to answered.

Only Mods can delete a post....

You could ask them, but then you'd also have to ask NSA to delete it from their servers too....

Best & easiest just to do as scook said.... edit the post and change the thread title to include the word SOLVED.

I just bought and installed Music Creator 6, and I was hoping to be able to load MIDI files created in Finale, and work on them in MC 6.
But when I try to play them, I get no sound out at all.
I have a Toshiba Satellite with a Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD sound card, with a nerds.de LoopBe1 - Internal Midi Port (WDM).
Can this program handle Sound Fonts at all? I don't see any controls for bank selection anywhere.

You imported the MIDI, now you need to select and insert a soft synth (another track). Try inserting the TTS-1 synth for starters
Then direct MIDI tracks to TTS-1. Then you can select a bank and patch

SFZ synth is a sound font player. If it didn't install with MC it is available free on the Cakewalk store

"To set the channel for a track
In the Track Inspector or Console view, click the Chn control and select a MIDI channel."

Now I've got it in what looks like both at the same time, and I've looked all over this GUI and I'm damned if I can find anything that says "Chn" on it. Where is this mysterious control?

Here is where to set these in the inspector.
