After years of thinking about it, I have today ordered a bunch of acoustic panels, bass traps etc. We have just moved house and I thought, this time I'm going to treat myself and get my room fitted out at least reasonably professionally! So, bass traps in the corners, panels to the right, left, behind me and on the ceiling! Hoping it's going to make a big difference to my music making. I've ordered through GIK acoustics in the UK who were really helpful. I had to fill in a detailed questionnaire and send photos of my room, and they came back with a tailored plan. Have had several conversations with them and they've been excellent throughout. And free shipping to Spain!

Good plan.
I had a dedicated studio in my last house, and the panels & traps made a huge difference.  Just make sure to place them where the sound reflections bounce. 

One of the best investments in sound you can make.

I'm looking forward to doing this myself. I need to move from my little corner over to the other side of the attic space. the whole space is about 400 square feet with a steep angled ceiling. I'm going to do the same and order some nice panels as well as cover the rear wall and ceiling with slatted cedar where the drum kit will go. I like the sound of cedar walls around a drum kit.
