Sorry for errors.
I'm trying mix down a project.
I've done it this way many times.
And
Pro channel is great.
The sound is great.
Like wow.
Track troubling me with clicks.
So I've done it this way many times,
Except,
What has changef,
Eq pro channel.
My parameter settings.
My Usual, on eq, but flat
with HI pass. Min attenuation.
I can do a mix without applying effects.
SONAR does a great job of it mixing down to other bit depths and pulse rates.
Effects on, in pro channel, but not actually applied before mixing.
Tracks are single note clips, faded in and out..
Manual.
SONAR has done really good mics like that.
So what's different now?
These clicks messed me up.
Nothing there to make it click.
Faded nicely.
So,
What different too
My parameter settings of pro channel eq.
Not flat.
This part, a violin part, done on an electric guitar,a very rare and unusual Gibson axe.
6 string.
Single coil pickups.3
The wiring,somebody changed it,and I haven't rewired,reconfigured anything yet.
All bass, too much
Thing is,there are no notes below the G
That would be the G
Where the G clef is.
3rd string open on guitar.
No notes under that.
But a lot of junk appearing on
Quad curve eq fly out panel.
Junk not pro channel, my strings
, I mean open strings sounding.
EADGBE, all of them not all at once usually.
So I have quad curve eq set to filter out all of that ,everything below about 198hz I think it is.
On guitar anyway.
On the fly out panel too.
198hz that's the lowest sound note.
And HI pass filter max attenuation but the freq is 20.it works good.
Cleaned up the low end ,
It was kind of bad,
Pretty fast the violin part is .
The notes keep coming.
Hard to stop strings from vibrating
Trying to concentrate on the staff.
Any way, only 50 plus years plucking guitar strings so,I'm not as good as I would be if I practiced every day,
I've been doing processing of records.
Here lately.
Mixed it and clicks.
I didn't hear them when I played the track guitar, violin part, that track, going thru pro channel real time.
And,like I say, I normally do not apply pro channel eq.
I mix with it on
have not done the apply effects command
Today I did,
When I saw what was happening
Notes leaving pro channel and sonitus eq on some other value then a 0 zero crossimg,
I freaked.
All the notes ,clips, had fade out curves.
So.
Anyway,
Work around
Select all notes ,clips,
Hit process>audio effects>audio effects
SONAR applied eq to the clip
And I may add
Does a beautiful job of it too.
Very nice.
However.
Most,if not all clips no longer end on Zero crossings.
So
They're all selected.
Adjust the rite margin moving inwards
Hope they all snap to zero.
They do not.
Oh well,.
They are not too far from zero crossings.
Fading any clip with all selected faded them all.
Same thing for fade in side of the clip.
The attack is done very nicely.
The wave form shape is good.
Pro channel and sonitus both now.
Very good.
It was that end that messed me up.
Sonitus, eq,I believe ,did not do such a good job of it in prior versions,
On earlier versions,
The attack was mangled using heavy attenuation on open strings,
But the sound was good.
The waveform didn't look too good tho,
Not now tho.
Now sonitus rq has beautiful waveform at the attack.,and all thru the note.
It was the end that had me messed up
Can't fade them again if they're not applied yet.
So
The work around,apply effects
Then fade them all at once.
Theyre not snapping to zero.
Only the clip I actual had used to slip edit jumped to zero crossings.
But,fading them has the same sort of effect
The wave form ends on a zero crossing.
And, they were not that far from zero.
Now, next time I mix down.
,
I can turn that eq off and the way they're faded now, ,they shud stay like that.
Hope so any way.
Reverb is going to be on too
And compressor..
Well ,
An item I read somewhere on forum,
the dialog said provide as many details as you can
I noticed the changes
Thank you very much
No question.
Fyi
Cause many years,no line, nothing from this end, no line why.
