That could be the problem.
I wonder if his speakers go to 11?

I wonder if you get this on rocket science forums.

I just want the thing to take off, man. It's like a tube, and I set fire to the bottom of it and everything. It's all set up like it should be.

Just sit in the top part John, leave the rest to me I'll get it going for you.

Semicide, the list of problems is long that could be responsible for lack of sound. Especially when you're using an onboard sound card. Since you know nothing about Sonar, you probably wouldn't understand many of the trouble shooting responses you would get or the terms used. You need to study up on Sonar some and come back with a little more information about your sound card. Start by studying the inputs and outputs in Sonar and the drivers used. You can find all the information you need in Sonars help files. You are entering a very big process that requires some knowledge and manual setup. It's not just plug and play all the time.

This is what you gotta do, go to edit> preferences> audio> playback and recording. Once you're there, you'll see driver mode. That's where all your "audio sound cards" will be. Mine has like, 6 different sound cards, so I just went through them one by one. I put mine on "WDM/KS", hit apply. This sound card enabled my "Realtek HD Audio Output". Now, the realtek aka laptop speakers were under edit> preferences> audio> devices> output drivers. Go through all your soundcards until you have your specific laptop speakers displayed under output drivers. Hit apply, and your laptop speakers should be playing what you have in your DAW.
