I only run CCC when there's something new to download and would prefer to keep doing that.  If something has changed, like having to have CCC running continuously with administrator privileges or get annoying messages, I'd like to hear some official statement as to why it's necessary.

I'm still on Kingston and will remain there for the time being.  It seems to be the best the bunch so far.

I saw that banner pop up after installing Manchester, and I usually have my internet connection off.. but turned it on, logged into command center and it was activated after logging in that one time.

Might wanna try activating off-line (under Help menu when you open a project) ; )

After running the Manchester update apon launching Sonar I get the blue banner (Please login to Command Center to check activation status.
I login and nothing happens. Projects seem to play ok and all but the message keeps popping up on launch.

Anyone get this message yet?

Update: when staying logged into the command center and launching Sonar I get the message (Thank you for extending your subscription) When logged out of command center I get the above message.

Hi Everyone,

One of the changes in Manchester is that it keeps your About box current with your latest end date. This was causing a lot of confusion for folks who renewed but were not seeing the latest date in Help > About dialog. In order to do this SONAR makes a call to Command Center asking if anything has changed.

If you keep Command Center logged out then you will see this toast popup. If you know you have plenty of time left/don't care you can ignore it. When you get really close to your end date or go into demo mode you'll get a much more scary toast warning you.

Thanks,

Thanks Willy, That message (Thank you for extending your subscription) doesn't appear anymore, it was just the one time. Everything with that looks good. I still get the other message (Please login to Command Center to check activation status.) when not logged into CC.

There must be others getting this message when launching Sonar and not logged into the command center, (Please login to Command Center to check activation status) It's just annoying to get this pop up every time. I guess there are not enough people getting this message yet for the Bakers to correct it.
