  • [Solved] Melodyne Blob/no audio not solved for me!

I posted incorrectly to an old post that said SOLVED. Sorry about the previous post!

I am perplexed. So I worked in Melodyne 2 Editor most of yesterday afternoon, using the Region Effect. No problems. Do a bit of work today, but when the blobs move there is no audio. The vocal track plays normally with correct volume. The green meter in Melodyne is moving. Per Craig's suggestion in this thread, I made sure Input Echo is enabled on the channel. Reboot, no audio. In fact, Melodyne/Region Effect doesn't work on any track on this project, as well as others I have used Melodyne on recently! However, I do get audio if I put Melodyne into the FX Bin and transfer audio in - blobs make noise :-)

What am I missing? Is a re-install in order? Any help is appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue in Melodyne Studio 4. There is no audio when clicking on or adjusting blobs, but the note changes are reflected upon playback.

I have had this happen recently and just before I created the Melodyne region I had pressed the E key to disable all effects globally, so I could hear a clean, dry vocal while editing in Melodyne. So then, I heard no audio while moving the blobs. When I enabled the global effects again, the audio came back on. So, I just disabled those effects that were individually in the vocal track fx bin and disabled the track sends.

Thank you! Magically, that did the trick. Wonder what's up with that, though?

Thanks again.

You are welcome. I'm not sure what's going on there. Another weird thing is if I disable all effects I'm not able to hear the metronome. Probably some connection there.

I had the exact same problem...for me if I toggled the fx bypass on and then back off I would get a metronome.

Thanks for that tip.

my blobs just appear in a straight line and do not go to their respective places to represent the notes. It was working fine before.

You need to give that track focus to hear the sound of the blobs. Just click on the track.

Have you changed the detection algorithm to a non polyphonic one?
