Has anyone had problems since the last update. My audio was working great with either of these devices. Can't even play a mp3 or wav file without momentary dropouts during playback. Had to swap out to an old Zoom R16 to get the audio to play properly. Tried un-reinstalling the drivers to no avail. Put in a ticket with Focusrite earlier this week and am still waiting on a reply. Can't roll back the Win10 update since the restore points I create every month have disappeared!

Works fine on my end. What driver are you using?

4.15. The last 2i4 update from the Focusrite page.

Ok, so the weirdness continues. The 2i4 is now working fine. I tried to do a restore to the last point available even though none of the restore points I had created could be found. After about an hour, the restore failed and the pop up says no changes have been made. Did a reboot and now it is working fine. Not gonna mark this as solved since I'm not really sure what the original problem was. But at least I can get back to work!  Thanks for the feed back guys, it at least made me consider that it wasn't the 2i4 at fault.

I have a 6i6 2nd Gen (my backup unit) and I tested it with the latest Win 10 updates and no problems.

Are you sure there was nothing running in the background? Dropouts are caused by CPU interrupts.
When ever that happens, shut off your internet, and check task manager, run Latency monitor etc.

Hi Johnny,

Ran Latencymon, checked task manager and everything looked good. Internet, wifi disabled, it was still glitching, but only when using the 2i4. When I disabled the 2i4 and enabled the R16 it would playback fine. Re-enabled the 2i4 and dropouts where back. After the failed restore the 2i4 was back to normal.

Tested again this morning, everything is running smoothly. Have disconnected the R16 since my primary use for it since I bought the 2i4 is as a 8 track recorder for location demos. It saved my bacon as an interface while the audio was being funky the last few days. When I hear back from Focusrite, I will post their reply if they have any info that might be of help to anyone who runs into a similar issue. Thanks again everyone.

My guess it W10 enabled something you disabled.
