This is just a nice piece of history.  Seeing Oscar on all this old gear, and when he gets around to printing the score of something he wrote, it made me think how all this gear is contained in one modern day workstation, or technology like Sonar.

Watch it up to about 4:45 from when it starts.  It's short, but cool.

This has to be one of the coolest things I've seen.  Thanks for posting it!

LONG time fan of Oscar Peterson. He remained a very fine pianist after the stroke that cost him most of the use of his left side.

Rahsaan Roland Kirk ls had a stroke and had a modified one handed sax, I believe payed with the joints of his fingers. Btoh Oscar and Rahsaan had a certain joy to their playing

Couldn't find them playing together, but here they are on the same bill.

Interesting.  OP makes an admission to being a lazy writer...
Glad to know that...
That makes two of us.

I started out in that era of self produced music making. He has an Otari 8 track tape and lots of analogue synths and a few of the highest end Digital synths. Using a Synclavier was for only the richest of musicians at that time. Amazing -  I had no idea he was into electronics and recording. This was probably in the early to mid 80's ?
