  • An easy way to get Beatscape and Platinum (p.2)

There is no difference between projects created in 32bit and 64bit SONAR. There are updates to the project format from time to time though. Beatscape was notoriously buggy. I have not messed with the synth for some time and did not bother to install it on my current machine.

Thanks for getting back SO quickly.
Yes, I did the proper install. I downloaded:
03_Beatscape_1_0_2.part1.exe
and
03_Beatscape_1_0_2.part2.rar
I did the installation and I can see the content in the Beatscape Factory Content, the application is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Beatscape and I have the Beatscape DLL in the
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins\Beatscape
But Sonar Platinum doesn't see it.
I just don't know what I'm doing wrong - it seems like it should be working but I can't see it.
Many thanks again
Liam

This may be irrelevant; but, make sure you are installing Beatscape in the correct hard drive.  I had a sinmilar problem because I installed on the C drive instead of the F Drive ...  the default drive for my Platinum files.

Anyone encounter a comparable issue with Kinetic 2? The VST reset solution doesn't appear to work with that plugin. Thoughts?

Though I am still hoping to hear if someone has gotten Kinetic 2 to work/open with recent versions of Sonar, I was able to work around my problem by importing the relevant patches from the Kinetic 2 install folder directly into my Sonar project.
