Sonar Platinum does not see the second socket. Windows 10 x64 Xeon 2696 v4 x2 44 core. Windows see all 44 cores.Sonar  works on one of the sockets without using another.

Did you set your Thread Scheduling Module in "Preferences"? By default Sonar sets it to "1" for multi-core operation it should be set to "2".

I had to Google that because I assumed I read it wrong - 2x 44 cores lol
That's quite the setup you have there. I unfortunately can't help you with your issue but it may have to do with the unusual configuration.

If you do a Google search as follows, you will see between 150-200 results that you might wish to scan through to see if there is any information in them to aid you:

site:forum.cakewalk.com xeon socket

Or modify the above to refine,

Sorry I don't have better info for you,

I run an AMD-7850K processor, and in Windows all cores are utilized, though I dimly recall setting the Min/Max CPU state to 100%, in advanced power management options of Windows, in addition to having set the ThreadSchedulingModel to 2 in Sonar, as well.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't know what you mean by "socket", but try changing the Driver Mode from MME to ASIO.

He means he has a motherboard with two CPUs, each in its own socket. In this case two server grade Xeons for a total of 88 cores.

Sonar can only use a maximum of 32 CPU threads.

It is not specifically designed to benefit from multi CPU server configurations. For best performance use the best 17 Intel CPU you can lay your hands on.

SONAR will use all cores but the user interface has a max of 32 "core meters".
If you look at the aud.ini file it has MixThreadCount=88 which means it is using 88 threads to mix.
Also if you look at the performance tab in task manager while playing a big enough project, you should indeed see that SONAR is utilizing all 88 cores. In the Details tab in task manager you can add a column for "Threads" and you should be able to verify that the number of threads for the SONARPLT.exe process is more than 88, since we allocate one thread per code for the audio engine.

Let us know if that is not the case. 88 cores is quite the rig :)

PS: Please post a screenshot, animated gif, or video of the performance tab in task manager running 88 cores. You can right click the graph and change graph to "Logical processors" to show each core's activity. It will be interesting to see how that is performing.
PM me if you need help...

I wish I had the problem of Sonar not seeing my 88 cores:)
