Hi for those of you also familiar with logic for mac, I'm sorry cakewalk if this has been covered before I just cannot find it although I have searched...
 
In logic you had a master track that you could add effects that would consolidate all the other tracks in your mix.  In Sonar Pro I haven't learned how to do that yet, could someone please point me in the direction to create a master track so I can put finishing touches on the master EQ?  
 
I use Sonar Pro now, and find that I make instrumentals just as well if not even better than in Logic.  Considering Sonar's Pro price and workflow I think it's the best out there.

You can create a stereo bus and route all of your tracks to it.
 
I haven't tried them all, but of the templates I've used, there's already a master bus created by default. Buses have an FX bin where you can insert your EQ or other effects.
 
It depends on your layout, but buses are usually visible below your tracks or on the far right side of the Console view.

That's odd because no where in the vicinity of the grayed out area in console view panels after do I right click it does it says New Stereo Bus...?

There are several ways to insert a stereo bus...
 
What you're attempting to do should work if you right-click on the far right side after the divider (not on a hardware output strip, though).
 
There is a bus menu atop the Console view with an Insert Stereo Bus option.
 
There is a Stereo Bus option on the Insert menu on the main Sonar screen.
 
Also, on the main Sonar screen, you can right-click in the blank area at the bottom-left of the screen (below the divider) to Insert Stereo Bus.
 
I'm using Platinum, so I'm not sure the options will be exactly the same for whatever version of Pro you're using.

The Bus pane is a separate section of the console view. It's on the right and you may have to drag it open.

D is the track pane and E is the bus pane (Where your master fader lives.) The divider between them can be moved (sometimes all the way to the right side.)

Platinum has a different interface than Pro, and I can't upload a screenshot since my post count isn't high enough yet, I'll show you what I mean however.  I had an older account cakewalk command center which all I need is the password for, I currently can't update my version of Sonar because of it, and I can't send PM's to the mods.. so it's like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Go to the Insert menu at the top of the screen and select "Stereo Bus". Name it "Master" and route its output to your audio interface. This works regardless of what view you have open.
 
But before you do that, make sure you don't already have a master bus that's just not visible. You probably didn't specify a project template when you started your project, so SONAR most likely used the default template, which does include a master bus.
 
I don't actually know how different Platinum's UI is from Pro, but AFAIK the differences are small. I work exclusively in the Track View, which looks pretty much the same today as it has for at least the last 8 versions of SONAR and I'd expect it to look the same in Pro. Busses show up in a separate pane below the tracks, and there is a button to show/hide the bus pane. It's possible your bus pane is hidden. Find that button at the bottom of the Track View screen - when you hover your mouse over it, a help label will be shown identifying it as "show/hide bus pane".
