I realize that recording is a rather minor function in a studio, but I would like to do it once in a while.

Sometimes, Sonar stops recording:
1-Select the proper track.
2-Enable record on the track.
3-Hit record.
4-Hear the metronome and start recording.
5-Hear the instruments and see the meters moving.
6-Stop the transport and there is nothing on the track.
7-Undo does not undo recording, but whatever was done previously.  It's as though the recording even never happened.

Thoughts?

Can't help with the why, but that happens to me occasionally too, so at least you can feel a little better that you're not alone. Everything looks normal until I press stop and then......wtf? Where's the clip ? Sometimes there's a tiny little slither of blank clip at the start like it started recording but just switched itself off again. Usually it works ok when I just  try again - no reboot required - but it is very annoying when it happens. I had dared to think that it might have stopped happening as it's been a while, but then yesterday it did it again - very sparse project so it can't be a lack of system resources thing.

2016.12 win 7 if it matters.
