Hi, Ive searched and followed advice in similar threads but havent fixed my problem. Im fairly new to DAW stuff but I can work on a practical level (playing with different VSTs and recording) within Reaper. I try copying my S-Gear2 .dll file into the directory set in (edit>preferences>VST settings), re-scan and even restarted but the file refuses to show up in any of the Plugins tabs on the right. Is there something that Im doing wrong?

Thanks

That's the scuffham amp sim isn't it?

I think Music Creator is a 32bit DAW and will not run 64bit VSTs. Maybe Scuffham have a 32 bit version as well- you'd get that free if you bought the 64 bit one.

One other possibility is to go to plug in preferences and from there the plugin options button to see if the VST is "enabled"

Yes its Scuffham amps-amp killer (in my case anyway). Much cheaper, easier and quieter than a hardware tube amp and plays/sounds just as good to my (admittedly not tube veteran) ears. It turned out to be the 32bit thing. I had to reinstall S-Gear and specify to add the 32bit file. It always ends up being something simple but Im still learning this stuff, its pretty daunting. Thanks!
