The Style Dials are a great idea, and their simplicity does lend itself to those big, blank panels with giant knobs -- sort of. But realistically, the ProChannel strip is crowded to begin with, and we really don't need to give up all that strip space. If you like the big simple appearance, fine, but please provide a little "underscore" toggle in the top right so we can change the appearance to a much smaller, less "low-tech" appearance.

Ideally, I'd love to see a darker appearance, about 1/3 as tall, with a slider instead of a knob. This optional view would make it much easier to see at a glance how each one is set, and we could have 5-6 of them visible at the same time. (Nobody will mind if you still call them Style Dials.)

Thanks,

Yep. Would be slicker if we could see more without using so much screen space. So a compact mode idea makes total sense. Voted.

+5.  Having an SD minimize to a horizontal slider just tall enough for the slider, name and value would be great.

I like the "throw" of the dials, so having a button present to switch views would be best.  A quick click to show the dial, adjust, quick click to minimize.  Having the slider visible in the minimized view would make tweaks possible without switching views.

Could be useful as once set they probably only need minor tweaking so minimised would increase the space for other modules.

+1 for a Compact Mode.   SDs seem to lend themselves to the idea.

Compact mode with auto-expand on mouseover. Heaven...

Oh, and make all PC modules do this....

I like this idea, but like Dan said, "make all PC modules do this..."

Are they awesome?

I foresee threads with requests to implement advanced routing for PC modules, similar to PatchPoints.
