hey, i dig this one!

i like how you change up each of the intro sections..
each one has it's own version of the main riff..

bass sounds really good in the mix.

reminds me a little bit of something wayne krantz would do.

you could put a lyric on top of the main verse theme,
and call this a jazzy rock song.

lyric content?

how about..... getting lost in the mall parking lot.

Nice one Kenny. Sometimes it's hard to comment on a genre you don't listen to much, so I pay more attention to the skill of the musician. And you've got the skill for sure. As a side note, just wanted to say that I like the positive attitude you always seem to have.

kennywtelejazzHi Malcolm ,

It is real nice to see you again on the forum
I hope all is well with you and you are living life to the fullest .
You know , I still think about the song Crow you wrote where I laid a few guitar parts down as a collab mate .
I had given Crow a listen last week when I was poking around listening to some of my older song projects ..
Very good stuff and it was a real blast to have worked with you on that song.
Thank you for the Super Kind words you have said there is a very large part of me that wishes I can live up to them ...
I will settle for every so often being able to post a tune that may put a smile on your face and tickle a few eardrums along the way ...
all the best ,

Kenny

Hi Kenny

All well here. Still pottering around my little Isle, celebrating the seasons and being a general nuisance - same as always! Yes, Crow was special; you added so many extra dimensions to it and gave it such drive and 'bubble' I still reckon it was the best collaboration I've been lucky enough to be a part of. I've given up writing music at the moment. Nothing new to say lyric-wise and musically. But if I change my mind and need a maestro on the guitar, be assured you are at the top of the list!

Hope all is well with you
Take care
Malcolm

Hi batsbrew ,

I'm certainly open to your suggestions .
I'm happy you gave my tune a listen and then came here to offer them

What's currently posted is the state of a musical Plateau  I have gotten to so far in the songs development  .

I like the way you sing man , I wish I could sing half as good as you
When they were passing out vocal chords I was at the back of the line trying to get more guitar picks & strings

Tell you what , if you want to do something on this tune have a go at it ...
The tune is 86 BPM . Even the silence breaks line up to tempo .

Hi bjornpdx ,

I'm glad you gave this song of mine a listen I'm super happy you dig my playing skills...means a lot to me .
Sure I understand how it is when listening to genre's of music that are different than what I'm accustomed to ...
To tell you the truth I had no idea as to what Genre of music my song fit into when I went to post it ...
So I created my own Genre . It's listed right there in the genre hash tag as # Kenfusion
As far as trying to keep a positive attitude , whew that sure is a tough one for me.( thank you PTSD )
My life is a work in progress and I get Kenfused very easily . I try very hard to step back and keep my tongue and pen in check ...
At times I do suffer from an energy drain from having done battle with my Waring emotions that are constantly seeking expression in my dealings with my fellow man and women ....
IMHO, attempting to take the High Road seems to be the easier softer way ... the emotional pay off is far greater when it comes to finding moments of inner Peace ...no matter how fleeting ...

thank you for the song listen

Rock on Kenny Corea..

Hi Tim ,

I Love it & I Wish that one was true for sure .
When I was playing and writing this song I knew deep down in my heart that I was compensating for the fact that after all my years of playing the guitar , I had never learned how to play Chic Corea's Spain .....

that's my story and I'm sticking to it ..
thank you for the listen

HA. Yea, Spain's  good one. I learned it once, like 50 years ago. geez. Played it back in the day in a country rock band.  There's that one lick I could never quite get though. So, anyway, from memory, Gmaj7, F#13b5 or something or other, Em, A7, Dmaj7 etc. That's all the brain cells have left:)

Hi Malcolm ,

I had to let this thread sit for a few days since I posted something else musical since we last talked ...
I didn't mean to leave you hanging due to my Thread management latency issues  .
I'm certainly glad to see your back
I'm just now coming out of a musical phase where I didn't feel as if I had anything new going on .
It's tough when those type of feelings and things happen ...I hope in both our cases it passes ...you have a friend .
If you feel like rapping or running something by me , hit me up
until then , all the best goes out to you

I liked it quite well. The only thing I think could be improved is that sound of the drums. They sound awfully skinny.

I used to be a real fusion head, so needless to say, I like this! And I'm pretty sure the guys in Cell Block #9 can even dance to it.
