Hi I've been using the drum virtual instruments this afternoon in Sonar Artist.  I've been using the step sequencer to input the beats.  The sound keeps disappearing when I'm looping in the step sequencer and adding or taking away beats.  I then load another drum programme and it works with that kit until the sound drops out again.  I've experienced very few problems with Sonar up until now. Any advice would be welcome or previous threads that might be relevant.

I was having the same problem.
What worked for me was to select: Preferences/Midi/Playback and recording. Under playback... change "prepare using" to 500 millisecond buffers.

Without seeing it sounds like you're overloading your outputs in the drum mixer. Make sure different audio outputs are selected before pressing play again.
