  • No longer able to change the background in the piano roll?

I'm finishing up some older tracks. I opened the piano roll and was blinded by the light background. I went into the color options to change it to a darker background, just like I've done in the past. But now, I end up with a zebra-striped piano roll with some notes dark, as in the preferences. Others retain the original bright color. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

What theme are you using?

I tested Mercury, Tungsten, and Tungsten Orange (from the theme thread). All have the same result.

The white key lines change, but the black keys don't.

You know, this is a perfect example of why I'm pissed at Cakewalk.

I decided to tackle this tonight. First, I have to watch tutorials because I don't know how to use the theme editor. With that accomplished, I went in and did exactly what I thought I should do, but it didn't take after I saved the theme, etc. I have no idea what step in the process I missed, so that becomes a timesink. In the past, all I had to do was open up preferences, change a couple of colors, and it was done. Now, it's a conglomerated mess that I have to wade through.

I was trying to at least finish my old projects, but it's not an option anymore. I've lost patience. Between having to learn how to use the new piano roll, and the failure at changing the colors, I've lost a good chunk of my evening.

Stop the ride, I want out.

You can still change the PRV in that way.
