Does anyone know if it's possible to bypass a buses fader volume when exporting an audio track? IOW if my buses volume fader is set to -8db it exports at 0db automatically w/o manually changing the fader.
 
Is there a tweak or Audi.ini file available to do this?

Nope. You could, however, set up a separate bus just for exporting, much the way you might set up busses for headphone mixes.

I'm trying to figure out how that would work. My 2 bus goes to the master out has my utility plugins for mix checking (mono, izotope, vu, dedicated lpf/ hpf) I use these while writing, level set-up, tracking & mixing so they're needed for all tracks & buses during the entire course of the project.

How would I set up a separate bus for exporting that would be @-8db but render at 0db all routed out to my 2 bus to master out w/o rendering through the master out plugins?
I'd still need to remember to disable those plugins (or zero the faders for exporting on separate outs as I do now.)
My Kemper is routed via SPDIF to my 2 bus- master out but also has it's own dedicated bus in Sonar @-8db (although I still use other separate outs to the board for re-amping.)

I haven't dabbled with Patch Points yet, maybe I need to?

Before giving any solutions, maybe it would help if we understood why you would want to do that, i.e. what is driving the -8db and 0 db decision , are you feeding an entire mix, are you having trouble with one of the levels, etc.

I'm not having any problems, wondering if it's possible which according to bit it's not.
I have other options as well.
I could also place a send on the bus pre to the 2 bus, then turn  off the fader altogether, export with fx unchecked. Still the exported file would be at the ( lower) send level unless I zero it out to get the tracks exported at my desired level. (-6/ -8db peaks)
Also -8db bus fader level could be any number, would depend on how many tracks are sent to the bus.

You could place a gain plugin on your master bus set for a -8dB reduction, and simply bypass it when you export. If you had other plugins you also want to bypass, place them in an intermediary bus that then goes to the master. All you'd have to do is kill the fx bin on that bus for exports.

That's pretty much what I've been doing.  Make sure to bypass the fx bin or uncheck fx when rendering files while setting my export bus fader manually to 0. It works fine, of course I forget to do it at times.
 It's used as a submix fader for vi's not yet exported, -8db is just an example. The levels change constantly, checking blend against what's already mixed or to solo  a section etc..but I always export my raw tracks  at 0db at the fader.
Again I was curious if it could be done with a setting, script or ini file..

Set the Console fader to the reference value you want to return to, like -8 dB. Then right-click on it, and choose Value > Set Snap-To = Current.
 
 
Then set the bus's Inspector fader to 0, right-click on it, and choose Value > Set Snap-To = Current.
 
Now you can double-click on the Console fader for -8 dB, or double-click on the Inspector fader for 0. You can have a third preset option in the Track View. This is all explained in "The Big Book of SONAR Tips" if you want more info.

Thanks for suggestion. I'll check it out but unless I'm missing something in your explanation it's not what I'm looking to do.
Like I said -8db isn't an absolute, it could be any level. I just want the fader (whatever level it was left at during the course of mixing) to be exported at 0 without double or clicking anything- fader, fx bin. etc.. preferably as some type of ini file (if it were possible) or to saved as an export preset.
