I thought I'd ask the brain trust:  I'd like to be able to see Continuous Control (CC) messages in realtime so I can fine-tune or debug my control surfaces and messaging.
 
Here is where I am:
1) I know I can see recorded CC messages in the Event List
2) I know I can add an automation lane, set up remote control to the fader I'm looking at, and see the current values in the little box
 
I'm looking for "realtime midi events" window, where I can see what is going on without recording, similar to what e.g. PianoTeq provides
 
Q: does that exist within Sonar Plat? If so, I'd appreciate a pointer.

PS: Sonar is so feature rich that I every so often find something I've never used, even though I've owned CW products for 20+ years.

Hi. There might be, but not that I am aware of.
You could try using MIDI-OX or AZ Controller.
Both will do the job, as far as I know.
