The print screen function on my computer doesn't work, so you'll just have to use your imagination. I'll try to explain it as best as possible.

I am trying to compose music in the piano roll view. It should not be this frustrating to do something so simple, but I want to have three 32nd grace notes do a little scale up to a longer note. I use the Draw tool and select the 32nd note, and click on the space for the note, it places the note at the beginning of the measure. Then i try to put the next note in for the higher pitch, but it places this note at the beginning of the measure as well, making a chord!

The grace notes are supposed to be a slurred F#, G, A, with a half note B, a tie to an eighth note, followed by an eighth rest and a quarter rest. The measure is in 4/4 time, and i have no idea how to translate this into Music Creator, so to anyone who could help me i'd be grateful.

Because every time i try to add a new note next to one another but on a higher pitch, it adds the note instead at the beginning of the measure and makes a chord.

any good tutorials out there on how to write in piano roll mode?
thanks.

Check your snap grid settings. The X2 PRV and Smart Tool tutorials may help. There are here.

That is the note velocity. You can modify the  display of velocity values with the View and Notes menus in the PRV.
