Whilst installing I am greeted with this:

Observe the greyed out file path and browse button. Why?
What exactly gets installed here? The file path isn't exactly clear.
I don't see a "Programs and Presets" folder anywhere either.

What's going on here?

Thanks..

This isn't new to this update, but the option is grayed out because you have a previously defined Cakewalk Content location in the registry (this is by design). SONAR does the same thing if you install it outside of Command Center. On a clean system this option is available to choose. The Multisamples path is available to change here if you wish to relocate your multisample path without having to do it manually through the registry.

Thanks..  but what is the greyed file path is this supposed to indicate exactly? When I clicked next that was unclear as well (sadly I did not do a screenshot).

Also in my view this disabled button should disappear, and the textbox should be replaced by a label. Otherwise this causes confusion as you can see..

Also it's not altogether clear here that there are subfolders are being created. For instance you would not know a "Multisamples" folder would be created.

I would prefer to be able to change any file path in the Rapture Pro application itself via settings.

It's all pretty confusing IMHO, need a little more thought here :)

thanks...

The "Programs and Presets" directory is where where the ".prog" files reside/are distributed.
That's what the Browser trawls and defines the Elements/Multisamples.

They, in turn, call the "MultiSamples" - .sfz, .wav etc. (The larger file content / collateral).

If that's the case - the screenshot is misreporting, it's all under my Rapure Pro folder:
D:\Cakewalk Content\Rapture Pro\

Not at the controls at the moment ... but that was/is the case for me with the RapPro installer(s) til now. I could especially tell because my Presets were greyed and directed to my Steam Sonar X3 location as it had it's dibs on the Registry. I defined a new Multisamples:

%ContentDir% = progs
%SampleDataDir% = multisamples
At top level Local_Machine/Software/Cakewalk

Found my post which covers it more fully:

There may have been a change with this release ... so I best just leave it there til I've done my RapPro update.

I managed to correct my registry entries beforehand to be correct (I gave a link in that thread you quoted).
I don't use mklink.
Regardless of what the installer said it seems to have installed correctly, so I believe this to be an issue with the installer.. Cheers.
