Wow... I haven't this tune in years.   No, make that decades.     Freakin' awesome! 
 
Loved the thumb pick and fingers technique too.  I've used a flat-pick and fingers for years but never thought to try a thumb pick like that for guitar - I'd say you have that technique nailed!   
 
Oh, and yeah, the intro was sweet.
