This is why I use a directory junction

What is a directory junction and what is the purpose? Thanks.

First off - THANK YOU SHARKE for the best tip EVER!!
I just shed 80GB of my OS drive, and I'm ready for Spring and look FABULOUS!!

And SCOOK -
My biggest dilemma with a junction would be forgetting it was put in place...
Unless it's flagged somewhere in plain sight, I would be looking at the location shown in CC and forget the files were being re-routed...

...and why does the preferred location in CC change if I log off??

I get the advantage of the junction after knowing that, so...I need to convince myself and just do it...

There is an entry on the drive showing the junction.

Click on the entry and it takes you to the physical location.
