How do I create a clip gain envelope?  The manual says to "position the mouse pointer over the top half of the clip" and drag up or down while holding control, but no matter where I hover the mouse I never see the pointer shown in the manual and no kind of Ctrl-dragging seems to work.

Using 2017.04

Thanks,

You need to switch the track edit filter from "clips" to "clip envelope/gain". This is done individually for each track on the track header.

I sure wish they would put this back in the right click menu where it belongs.

Yeah me too, tim idi. Can it be accessible - show and hide via key binding? Can't do any editing on the clip as long as the envelope is showing. Have to go back to it and click Clips to close the envelope.

That's what I do as well.
