  • LP MB and EQ missing?

I just bought a new computer and reinstalled Sonar Platinum and the sessions where I used the LP MB and EQ are missing the plugin.  That's the only thing that doesn't work.  I've tried reinstalling the boutique fx and engineering fx updates in command centre and no luck.  Lil help?

I'm not near Command Center at the moment, but if memory serves, they're listed separately under L-Phase. You can also download them from your Cakewalk account, if needed.

The new L-Phase plug-ins are installed separately and the old LP plugins are no longer included with SONAR. Either use an old version of the Engineering FX Suite (the last to include the old plug-ins is 1.0.14, I am not sure legacy installers are available with new purchases) or the advanced install option from an older version of SONAR to get the original LP plug-ins installed.

Thanks for the help, guys.  I do think I had the old LP MB and EQ: my membership has lapsed for about 10 months now, so I don't think I have the new ones.  So, my old computer probably had left overs from previous installations, whereas my new computer hasn't brought those plugins over.  As far as I can see, no legacy installers are available via the cakewalk membership page.  Hmmm :/

The 1.0.1 EngineeringFXSuiteSetup series started with the original release of the new SONAR through about May 2016. Since the new L-Phase plug-ins are sold separately in addition to being bundled with Professional and Platinum, the installers are not part of the SONAR family but are listed separately in your account and Command Center like DPro, Rapture and Rapture Session.

If you purchased SONAR Platinum using the one-time payment plan or completed 12 consecutive payments on the monthly payment plan prior allowing your membership to lapse, I would expect one of the old EngineeringFXSuiteSetup installers would be listed in your account and in the Command Center in the rollback option. If the old installer is not there, contact account support.

If, on the other hand, you do not have a version of SONAR prior to Platinum that had the LP plug-ins, did not complete the terms of purchase for SONAR Platinum and failed to save the installer when it was originally downloaded,  it is likely the plug-ins may not available. If this is the case, try contacting support. Maybe they can help.

Thanks, scook.  I purchased under a one-time payment plan.  My membership lapsed on March 4, 2016.  What is the rollback option?  Is this what the 'SHOW OTHER DOWNLOADS' section is for?

This is what it shows as available to me under the Engineering FX Suite.  Should I download and install 1.0.0.10?  I'm pretty sure 1.0.0.13 is what's already installed.

I looked in EngineeringFXSuiteSetup_1.0.0.13.exe; the old LP plug-ins are in it. I would assume there are in 1.0.0.10 too. Make sure to run a VST scan after installing.

The default location for the plug-ins are
for 64bit
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Linear EQ\LP64_EQ.dll and
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\\Linear Compressor\LP64_Multiband.dll
for 32bit
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk (x86)\Vstplugins\Linear EQ\LP64_EQ.dll and
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk (x86)\Vstplugins\\Linear Compressor\LP64_Multiband.dll

The actual locations depend on your setup.

Ok: it appears I have the LP64 multiband and EQ, but my session is searching for LP MB, and not finding it.  Is there a difference, or has the name somehow changed?
