power supplies is one of the most important items,
can't be talked about enough.
 
and a quiet case is KEY if you're recording in the same space as the computer.
 
i use a Antec Solo Black/Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case,
with a Thermaltake TR2 RX W0134RU 550W ATX12V Ver2.2 SLI Ready Modular Passive PFC PFC Power Supply
