Hello Wizards,
Just wondering if there is a way to simultaneously pan a stereo
bus
, or any other stereo channel, right and left.
Thanks!

Using the pan knob? Not sure I understand. Can you provide more info?

If you mean, can you take a stereo track and pan the left channel to the right and the right channel to the left then yes - just insert Channel Tools and automate the sliders.
If that's not what you meant then you'll have to explain further

The channel tool would do it but why? Couldn't you invert the polarity [nod to Jon Pertwee].

You could if the intention is to simply swap channels - but I assumed, probably erroneously, that the OP wanted to pan dynamically from one channel to the other

Jonesey is onto it - channel tools is the way to go. A very handy and often overlooked little plugin.

I understood the question so, that the OP wants to pan the stereo track
hard
l/r, instead of the present, moderate panning. Anyway, Channel Tools does it.

Thanks Guys!
It's just that I keep seeing the power Pro Tools offers to separately pan the channels of a stereo signal. I saw a wonderful training vid by Bobby Owsinski recommending a technique that allows me to blend a delay effect across 2 separate tracks and that technique takes advantage of the panning power of Pro Tools. I'l try using the Channel Tools plugin. Maybe that will do the trick!
Thanks again!
