Hi,
I got some free plugins with an MPK261 Controller.
During the install, it asks:
-What Folder the host scans for VST plugins (C:\Program Files (x86)\SONiVOX\VST) <-- this is what comes up by default in the folder location window.
 
-What Folder to install Sample Content?
 
-What Components to install? There are checkboxes for 4 choices "Full, VSTi, RTAS and AAX".
I guess "Full" installs them all?
 
I see folders that seem to have similar names/purposes. Some within Cakewalk folders, some not. So it seems hard to tell where to locate things.

Hi. You only need to install the Vsti.
SONAR scans the folders you have it set up to scan. (and each folder beneath that folder)
By default on X64, it is C:Program Files/Cakewalk/Vst Plugins.
You can install the samples wherever you have room for them.
I have all my libraries on a separate SSD.

Just an update... I selected just the VSTi option and (after a little wrestling with the iLok program) I have it running.
Only my OS drive is SSD. My storage drive is a disc drive HD (where I put the samples). So when I choose a new keyboard in the plugin, I have to wait just a couple seconds for it to load. I'm okay with that so far.
