Hi!

I bought the music creator 6 touch through steam and everything's been running smoothly.
The first major problem came today when I got the free version of Amplitube 3 from the IK's site. I installed the the software to the cakewalks Vstplugins folder like the help site suggested me to do but it's not showing up on the vst menu. I've tried scanning the folder several times and while scanning it I can clearly see that it found a file called amplitube.dll. But it's not showing on the plug-in manager nor the plug-in menu. I'm pretty new to this plug-in stuff so all the help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Mikael

did you manually add it to the list in the plug in manager and then scan it?

Also..... this is an AUDIO plug so be sure you are trying to add it to an audio track fx bin or it will not show up in the list.

be sure to register it with IK so it will function in full operational mode and not revert to demo mode after it times out....

Doesn't MC6 come with Amplitube or am I thinking of something else?

MC6 Touch like all the products derived from X2 comes with a version of TH2.

I also thought the amplitube was included in the package, but yeah.. it's the TH2 creator. So should I install the whole software to the shared plug-ins folder. That's the folder that contains aliasfactor, studioverb, tempodelay... etc. And it doesn't show on the lists in the plug-in manager and I can't find a place to add the plug-ins except by putting the location for the scanning.

No, the "Shared Plugins" folder is intended for Cakewalk plugins. Like all 3rd party plug-ins, it is usually a good idea to let the plug-in install in it's default location with the exception of the VST dll. The VST dll should be installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins" for the 32bit version and "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins" for the 64bit version. I also add a vendor name to the vst path but it is not necessary. These are the default paths for the Cakewalk VST plug-in scanner.

Thanks a lot for your help!
I re-installed it again and put all the files to their default locations and just inserted the location to the scanner and voilá!
Thanks again and have a nice day everyone!
