Just got the news ( which won't be in the news) FEARLESS LEADER'S plan has taken effect! Now for it to trickle down?

That's pretty great (again), yes?

Example; instead of paying $25 to go to the Doctor now I pay $63.

If it's covered in the insurance

Vets should not have to pay anything at all. I'm not some mindless military fellator but good god man... that should simply be part of the compensation package for signing up to possibly get turned into a fine mist or horribly maimed.

I mean c'mon!

I'm lucky, if you want to call it that, to have a service-connected disability. The VA has a highly-tiered service priority scheme (unless you're in the Phoenix VA, where they can't find anybody), nine levels last I heard.

Tier 1: 50% disabled or higher
Tier 2: 30-40% disabled (me)
Tiers 3-9: you can just imagine

Non-service-connected disabled vets can get seen (if they want to wait FOREVER), but then there are those f'ing copays...thankfully waived for anything service connected.

Oh.

And the ones pulling the copays have black hole hearts. The bastidges started charging copays for a drug I'd been taking for 40+ years. Multiple attempts to contact them and inform them that I was taking a cholesterol reduction drug for its side effect, not its primary effect (cholesterol not having anything to do with my disability) failed. And then they just took it all out of one month's disability pension check. That money be LONG gone.

I finally got my VA doc to include language in the prescription stating that I was taking it for its side effect and that it was service connected.

That fixed it, but to think...I enlisted.

And of course the same people who do this crap to you guys are the same ones that'll use you as props to get elected.

And that's not limited to any one "side".

Grosses me out.

They should run the VA like they do wellfair. Notice people on wellfair get everything for free. What's wrong with this picture.

Ditto.
I'd willingly pay an extra % on my taxes to cover veterans' health requirements.
Whether or not I agree with WHY they're sent to fight is irrelevant.

Thank you for differentiating between war fighters and war mongers.

It was, after all, a military man (Gen. Eisenhower) who first warned us to beware of the political implications of the military-industrial complex.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."
